Every treatment is a 60-minute session with a Registered Massage Therapist, including intake and assessment where it is needed. Paediatric Wellness Massage is 30 minutes. Hot stones are incorporated into every massage, and a receipt for your insurer comes with every appointment.

Massage therapy here is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist, which is what makes it eligible under most Ontario extended health plans.

You pay at your appointment. I email you a receipt carrying my CMTO registration number, the treatment and the amount including HST — everything your insurer needs.
Submitting it takes a couple of minutes on your insurer’s website or app, and you are reimbursed exactly as you would be under direct billing. There is no reason to delay booking.

Green Shield Canada runs its own provider portal rather than eClaims, and is being set up separately, as are Sun Life and Pacific Blue Cross. Participating insurers are set by TELUS Health and can change — always confirm coverage with your own provider.

That is the complete set of information Ontario insurers ask for, and it arrives by email.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer direct billing?
Not yet. Direct billing through TELUS eClaims and Green Shield is being set up and is coming soon. In the meantime you pay at your appointment and I give you a receipt with my CMTO registration number, which you submit to your insurer yourself — usually online, and it takes a couple of minutes.
If direct billing isn't available yet, should I wait to book?
No. Submitting a receipt yourself is quick and you are reimbursed the same as you would be with direct billing — the money simply comes back to you rather than being paid to me up front. Nothing about your coverage changes, so there is no reason to delay treatment.
What is on the receipt?
My full name, my College of Massage Therapists of Ontario registration number, the date, the treatment and the amount paid including HST. That is everything an insurer needs. You get it by email after every appointment.
Is massage therapy covered by my insurance?
Most Ontario extended health plans cover massage therapy when it is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist. Coverage limits, per-visit caps and whether a doctor's note is required vary by plan, so check your own policy or ask your HR or benefits contact.
Do I need a doctor's note or referral?
You do not need a referral to book. Some insurance plans do ask for a doctor's note before they reimburse massage therapy, so it is worth checking your policy before your first appointment.

The insurers on the TELUS eClaims network, listed on this page, plus Green Shield through its own provider portal. Sun Life and Pacific Blue Cross are being set up separately. This page will be updated as each one goes live.
